Does visualization really work? It seems a bit fluffy to me.

Visualization is one of the most powerful ways available to improve your brainstorming, ideation, organizaing, planning, communication, and measurement. But don't take our word for it! There has been a lot of scientific research on the topics. You can find a small sampling on the Research page.

I'm not an artist and I can't draw. Can I really do this?

Interestingly, many people in the visualization space would say they can't draw either. Very few visual thinkers are artists in the fine arts sense. In fact, there are some that believe being an artist can be a detriment to some of the techniques. (Try playing Pictionary^® with an artist). In any case, almost everyone can draw. You've probably just forgotten how. You drew when you were young. Like any other skill, if you don't practice it you lose it. However, even if you couldn't draw before, several very simple tricks and techniques will have you drawing in no time. Still don't think it's for you? No worries. There are lots of great computer-based visualization tools. They often have great templates and all you have to do is fill in the details and make any adjustments for your particular needs. Drawing and artistry are not prerequisites to visual thinking.

What does custom mean?

Custom means that every workshop, every project, every engagement is designed specifically for you and your needs. We consider things like your topic, usage, industry, culture, structure, implementation, and many other factors when we design for you. These factors impact the selection of visual approach, delivery method, and especially staffing. How much does it cost?

Well, it's custom, so every project is different. We can put a solution together for almost any budget. So send us your needs and we'll try to come up with something.

Where are the workshops held?

The workshops are held in a location convenient for you. Some organizations prefer to hold the workshops at their headquarters or other central location. Others prefer to go offsite. If you prefer, we can even make all of the offsite arrangements so that all you have to do is show up ready to work, learn, and have fun (Yes, work and learning should both be fun).

Do you do workshops that are open to the public?

Currently, we do not offer public workshops. However, several of our partners do right now and we may consider offering them under the right circumstances. So, don't hesitate to ask us or send along a great idea.
